Working hard for 3rd Degree Black Belt.

All were taken with Sony a900 and 85mm Carl Zeiss Lens. Used a flash to balance lighting in the gymnasium.

C & C welcome. Thank you for looking.

Passion is not in short supply here. Could the images use some warming?

"Warming" is an option. Since these are martial art pictures, I kept it cooler to go along with the intensity I want to come across. Hope that makes sense. For me, the warming would bring the intensity level down. I've even added a bit of "edge" to the others (not shown). Parents tend to like that.
I do add some warmth to the candid type of martial arts shots tho.

Thank you for looking and for your comment. I appreciate it!

All 3 of these teenagers (age range is 15, 17 and 14) will complete the rest of their test next Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I teach martial arts also, and they have been with me for the last 5 years of their 9 years. Great kids, all straight A students. They are Best Testers from previous tests too! I'm positive they will all do well. Their title will be "Sa Bum Nim." Thanks for looking.

Great shots. But I agree shots 1 & 3 are a bit too cool - too much blue in skintones. 3 is a bit soft in the face (likely motion blur) but the intensity makes up for it. Really nice series.
