It wasn't a TN that they replaced the S-IPS panel with, it was a S-PVA panel and they did it with the 2007WFP and 2007FP models. This blew up into what became known as the Dell "lottery".

Btw... It was not only Dell that did it. HP also did it with their LP2065 which is a model that was every bit as popular as the Dell with image hobbyists.

thanks for the clarification.. my facts were less than accurate :dunno
I am typing this on my new HP2475W IPS panel,,, my god it is big and bright. Switched from a 22" LG. I still need to calibrate it, using spyder 3 system for monitor and printer (epson 3800).. just need to get it done.
The HP is beautiful.... however, I will be having to switch back and forth for games..the HP just wont hack it for online gaming... not a huge concern for most of you I am sure :rolleyes
edit: OBTW they did put all the connections on the HP in a place that makes it very difficult to connect anything.. the USB ports are all but unusable.
