on my trip to DC to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents...driving along the Chesapeake Bay...
I promised at least a couple of birds (who said I could count), so here they are. Not sure what the goose-like one is, though...
Regards...Keith

Four excellent BIFS:thumb The first is a GBH, the second a cormorant, a gull and an osprey . Great variety and excellent work.

I promised you a bump, and here it is. I feel like Sally Fields, They Liked IT!
I love your shots, as I said here. Particularly the heron and the osprey. Were they all just suspended waiting to be put in your lens? Great captures.

Keith, I just love your birds. You will have to tell me where you were, exactly, if I ever go visit my DC "child" again. (she is only 37)
I will bump your thread as soon as Harry, or someone, preferably lots of people, see my thread. I love my birders. (They loved my egret, I like both, but the egret is a hanger, more than the people)
We are all sooooooooooooo good.

I don't know why I absolutely knew you would have the answer...:wink
The first three were all taken near Havre de Grace Maryland, from the shoreline of a marina. The last - the osprey - was on the Potomac in Washington D.C. I'm actually starting to figure out this BIF thing - of course, I could have used a little more reach for the GBH (uh, oh...the lens thing is starting....)
Best regards....

Ginger...the first three were from a marina in the town of Havre de Grace Maryland. The osprey was on the Potomac River in DC.
all of my bird shots were taken with the 70-300 DO IS - which is the only 300 I can tolerate carrying around all the time. No question, the serious bird guys will have some more serious focal lengths so just need those darn birds to fly closer to me.:wink:wink:wink
Best regards...Keith:):
