Hey guys,

I had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful couple today, Holly and Chris.

They are HUGE animal lovers. So naturally, they asked to bring their dog along and I was all for it. :D

Enough ramblin', picture time.

These are all very nice. I especially like #4, and #11 made me tear up because it is just so cute! :clap

I only question the blurring on #18 because it obscures their faces. :scratch

I just loove this style. #11 should be on a wall somewhere it is so good.
The rest have such interesting crops and somehow you make it work so well! #18... I am with the rest, but I bet you don't really need to hear more about it. I love how you incorporated their doggie into the shoot- like an important member of the family. Also, love your edgy but airy processing. Really fun stuff!:lust

Amazing work, as usual. :thumb

I need a drink, an elixir of sorts. A shot of Agnieszka, a splash of Furey, and a twist of "I can only hope to get to this point". Slam it down and chase it w/ an ice cold Blue Moon. :D

Funny you mention Angie, I'll most likely be shooting her and her man sometime in the near future. :wink

Thanks. :)

Pat I find your work nothing short of amazing! I am curious to know what type of equipment you use and what kind of post processing techniques you use. I like you work with white balance. It sets a great mood to every shot!

Thanks a lot!

I shoot with a 5D2, 35L, and 85L. (I just got the 85L - all of these were shot with the 1.8).

For post, I use a little bit of LightRoom 2 (for exposure, wb, and sorting) and then import into CS3 for a more fine tuned adjustment. I also use a mix of Photoshop presets I've made, along side some of the TRA2 actions.

You know I love your stuff!!! :clap :lust :clap it's hard to pick a favorite shot .... love them all. Hmmmm ... maybe 11 & 15 (+ 12 & 21)? :D

Never thought of the angle you got in #7, I always do #19 sort of shots, but I like it!

FUN! Can't wait to see your shots from your last wedding :barb

So I am guessing you are talking about 35mm and 85mm? I am not a Canon guy so I am unsure. All I know is, is every time I see your posts I am blown away! I have very little portrait experience and would love to shadow you sometime. If you are ever up in Washington let me know! What kind of lighting do you use if you don't mind? I have tried doing some on camera flash and a little off camera flash. Do you use more ambient light vs strobe? If you would like you could pm me about this! I would love to pick your brain!

All ambient for this type of work. (and 98% of all of my work is done sans-flash).

Thanks though. :ivar

haha I guess that makes it easy then! So a 1.4 makes that big of a difference huh?
