On my way to take Tom's KPOTD I passed this window and being a big NY sports fan I thought it was neat.

I really like that second shot, especially with the reflections of the other buildings in the windows.
Great shot!

Cheers!:1drink Yes Nik I used a sepia filter in Ps but turned down to maybe 5 percent so it added a slight tint to it.
The first one was a straight BW conversion.
If you meant did I think of leaving some of the color in the shot?, It didn't occurr to me , It was kind of cloudy so the reflection didn't really stand out and nothing else really warrented it. I will go back now that you gave me teh idea tho... Thnxs

I really like the idea the execution of the first shot, Eric. The blurry person rushing by sets it off, and the B&W makes somehow adds a newsy quality. I do wish the items in the display were more prominent. I reckon that would help give the story more strength. It would an even better story if it were a kid walking by, or staring in the window. (I know, I know, that's not what was there.) I think the B&W is well done.
The second shot's really about the reflection, right? It's a great reflection and the duotone really works in the shot. You nailed the exposure. But I find myself first looking at the sidewalk and the police car, and then the people, before I notice the reflection. So I would wonder if there was a way to compose the shot where the reflection was a more dominant element. You think I'm off base?
I love city shots, I hope you go back down and shoot some more.

Thnxs for the input Sid. I have a bunch more without any people in the second shot. For some reason and I still think that the fact that all 3 people were going in a different direction made it more interesting. I was hoping the sky would turn blue so the reflection would really be prominant, but it stayed cloudy for the time I was there.

Labs, I like the second shot a whole lot, and I agree with some of the others with a bit of color - maybe the cop car?

I like the first one. The motion blur of the passer by really adds to the
feel of "sports" represented in the window. Perhaps a higher contrast?

I like both shots. But I am curious - I have never done these motion shots what speed do you shoot at?

Al, thnxs i will play arouind with it..
Ian, I will try adding some contrast Thnxs for taking a look.
Gary I don't there there is a magic formula. It depends on the lens. I try to find speed at which I can still handhold and not get total lens blur.. In this case I was using a 17-35mm lens and the shutter speed was 1/25. Depends on how much coffee I have had.. Thnxs for commenting...
Thnxs so much Angelo..
