Jeff: I did not make it to Joshua Tree; will have to make a special day trip when it's not so hot. I do have a bunch of local PS shots to post for advice but for now I need to get some work done. I'll be back later. And I'm looking forward to trying the monopod. I forgot to show you my tripod.

Thanks, Angelo, for bumping it to me, I mean.
And thanks for sharing Ernie. I would ask you to send him, but he is living too good where he is.
Cool bird!
YOu got the shots. Good action. I assume that you all stock the waters, even if the Pacific, for fish for Ernie, so he does not have to dive in vain.
Wish I could get to the Joshua tree.
Thanks for the bird shots. Too bad Ernie has not had chicks. Does he have a "partner"?

Yeah, but she was lazy and uninterested, relaxing in the shade of a nearby oak tree.

Hey Angelo,
Why thank you. There never can be too many egret shots. :D On the last shot are you sure it was lunch. He could have been going after a golf ball. :rofl

With the level of expertise of the golfers I've seen there I wouldn't doubt it however in this case the golf ball was wiggling in Ernie's beak just before he gulped it down. (sorry I missed that shot!)

Yeah, I wouldn't mind living on a golf course either :dunno either that, or come back as a cat, sit in the window and nap all day...
