but, finally, Spring has arrived in Western Kentucky. Even though we're still cleaning up after the worst ice storm that anyone around here can remember, some of us still take time to stop and photograph the flowers.

I like the colors in #2 and the comp in #3. The red ball in #1 distracts me a bit. Otherwise, it's nice work with the blurred backgrounds.

Thanks for looking. The two tulip images were shot against a background of a charred stump. The shallow depth of field coupled with some post processing to get the charred stump black gave me the background I wanted.

The out of focus red object in photo 1 is actually another tulip.. After thinking about, I'm going to re-shoot with the background tulip a bit more in focus so as to be able to tell that it is actually another flower.

I guessed it was another tulip but without some detail it just put me off a bit. I'll be interested to see your re-shoot. Thanks for sharing.
