View Full Version : removing some stuff from a gallery

Bourbon Cowboy

I just noticed something funny about my site (www.theprintsofdarkness.net (http://www.theprintsofdarkness.net)), and I was hoping someone could help me with it.

When I enter the site, go to "Photography" and "Misc." in the navbar and click on the gallery listed, there's a bunch of stuff listed at the bottom of the page. Things like "News, Browse, Keywords, Communities," etc. I've managed to remove this from every page and gallery except this one. How do I remove/hide all that stuff except "Shopping Cart" and "Logout" (or "Login")?

Also, this is the only page with the Smugmug logo at the top of the page. I'd like to hide this as well, because it just looks funny on one page.

I've read the Customization FAQs and still can't seem to get it right.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

It looks to me like that gallery is set to Hide Owner which disables your customizations. Turn Hide Owner off and make sure Appearance is set to Custom and your customizations will come back.

I'm having the same problem bourbon Cowboy is. I'm using smug for my client proofs (http://camaraphotography.smugmug.com/), and I don't want the smugmug logo on it. The Hide owner is on (no button checked), and appearance is set to custom. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Dave

Thanks, Dave I don't understand your question. If you want you gallery customization to show, then Hide Owner must be OFF. Whatever you need help with, please post a link to that specific page.

Question is: I don't want to see the smugmug logo on Any of my galleries. How do I hide it?

Links: http://camaraphotography.smugmug.com/ or to a specific gallery: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/6141044_syoFf#386512119_6MLs8

I also went to the Site wide Customization in Control Panel to see if the "Display Smugmug Header?" was check to "yes". No is checked.

I also went to the Site wide Customization in Control Panel to see if the "Display Smugmug Header?" was check to "yes". No is checked. You create your own custom header and then you turn off the Smugmug header in your site-wide-customization page. See the customization FAQ (at the top of this forum) for tutorials on creating your own banner or navbar.
