Ok, I've regrouped and came up with a different idea. Yes, some of you will recognize this as an old photo, but its just a place holder at the moment. I'm heading out this weekend for fresh images and was just looking for comments on concept and layout. The subtitle is also not set in stone yet, so if you have something better... I'm all ears.

All C&C is appreciated. Thanks for looking.

I like this a lot -- I would certainly pick that book up! Very nice composition and the typography actually adds to the image instead of being a distraction.

Really nice. Is it me or does the title banner look like it's sloping downward from left to right? Could be me; I've had about 7 cups of coffee today.

Stunning, now that you have the cover done you can start on the book. Please reserve a copy for me.
Outstanding.

Absolutely nice production, magnifique!
Just a thought, but maybe the design/layout is just a bit top-heavy?

Wow I'd buy that! :thumb:clap:ivar
anonymouscuban I think you are right it does look like a slight downward slope but I wonder if that is just a trick of the eye since it is darker on one side and really light on the other.

I think you're right... it's an optical illusion. On my office monitor, it's very apperant; on my home monitor not so much.

I've been watching the conversation go back and forth on this and have been chuckling to myself. :giggle It is an optical illusion. The text was laid out in Illustrator and is perfectly level. Hopefully one of the images I get tomorrow will solve this. Keep your fingers crossed.
