Is it possible to limit the number of individual thumbnails using All Thumbs view; i.e., specify a limit of between 30-50 thumbnails? This would then allow paging so that the gallery can load faster.

You could try using "Traditional" style, which is similar, but with 16 (slightly larger) thumbnails

The page is generated and is coded to show all. No way to change it. Maybe
someone can come up with some javascript to do this, but don't get your hopes up.
