When i google my name in lets say google. i find my site in the first couple hits but in the descrption its showing a part of my slideshow code,

Johnny Tran Photography- powered by SmugMug (http://www.johnnytran.org/)
var oParams = new Object; oParams.AlbumID = "3980492"; oParams.newWindow = 'false'; oParams.transparent = "true"; oParams.showLogo = "false"; oParams.
www.johnnytran.org/ - 28k - Cached (http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:kRodleCb5_IJ:www.johnnytran.org/+johnny+tran&cd=7&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us) - Similar pages (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=related:www.johnnytran.org/)

Is there anyway to customize the description to say what i wish or even a way to block that from displaying?

The answer is in the slideshow help at http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Flash+Slideshow (http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Flash+Slideshow). Scroll down to the GOTCHA after the list of parameters to see the instructions.

This is being pulled ffrom your description meta tag, which equates to your "My Bio" field in smugmug.

If it is blank or missing, Google will pull it from other places on the page, which may or may not make sense!

I also followed the "gotcha" instructions but I still see code in Google.

Also, the link goes to a gallery by category. Is there a way to force it to my homepage?

One more thing, how do I change the URL showing in Google to my www? Instead of asrphoto.smugmug.com Can I make it say asrphoto.com?

I am also interested in the answers to both of Arlene's questions as I am having the same issues.

Thanks!

Google can take quite some time to update your "description" you just have to be patient, it will eventually come back to reindex your site. I don't know about changing the www question though. Good luck, Paul
