Apparently one can no longer can become informed of what's going on in the world without flashy colors, computer animated graphics, and for some reason, sound effects.

How anyone can watch FOX news and either not puke or become enraged at the way everything is dumbed down to a level for an IQ deficient, ADD afflicted, numbskull, is beyond me.

Do I really need to here a damn wooshing sound for every unneeded special effect?

A FOX news alert is a joke. Alert to me is that piece of news that concerns almost all of the public's interests. When it doesn't, why "alert" anyone? Hmmm, need bright shiny things to keep the "fast food drive-through" generation attentive.

It's like watching a huge propaganda machine. It scares the crap out of me.

It's like watching a huge propaganda machine. It scares the crap out of me. I stopped watching network TV news several years ago. I try and read several different news sources and hope they're not too tainted with their own special interests. Usually if you look at several sources, the "truth" (whatever that is) pokes its head through.

Hail to The Daily Show! :D

Hail to The Daily Show! :D

My TV is not connected to the outside world. DVDs and VHS tapes are all I got.

The Daily Show is the one thing that makes me think I should get cable or satellite. Other than that, my life is much better without that mind-numbing opiate.
