I have a 19-35mm lens for my 10D, but I'd like something wider. I know I can't get Canon's (in)famous 10-22, since my 10D can't use EF-S lenses. So I was looking at the Sigma 12-24 from B&H.

Any of y'all use this lens? They also have a 10-20mm coming out, but would there really be that big of a difference between 10mm and 12mm?

The new 10-20 apparently is made for APS-C sensors, and will not work on 35mm or full frame digital sensor bodies. So I guess that means the 1.6 conversion factor would not apply?

I'm having the same problem where my 17-40 isn't wide enough on the 10D but I can't use the EF-S. I would suggest waiting a month or two for the new Sigma 10-20mm, this should prove to be a very popular lens with the 10D and older crowd.

I think the MSPR is around $650~.

I think I might wait. B&H already has their pricing on it-$499

Will the Sigma 10-20 definitely fit on the 10D?

I guess that's the $64,000 question. I don't see anything on Sigma's site about it not working. It's part of their DC lens line specifically for APS-C non full frame sensors. B&H doesn't have a warning on their site for DC lenses like they do for EF-S lenses. Actually, they do, but it just says it won't work with 35mm for full frame DSLRs (1ds MkII).

I'm pretty sure it will work
