Embed video on Proboards site?

I'm a member on a forum that is hosted by proboards, and I can't find a way to embed Smugmug videos there. They have an option for Youtube videos, but that appears to be it. They do not have an html tag, or anything similar, due to "security" reasons. Does anyone know if there is a solution that will allow embedded video in Proboards?

no idea here sorry, i am in the same boat, i can't even get my code to work in a phpbb or vbulletin forum, i may go back to the standard version

I am sorry that you guys are having trouble. The embeds work for me on other sites. But, each forum admin controls what they allow. They may be blocking for exactly the reason you mention. Security.

i wish i knew, i am the owner of three boards, 2 vbulletin and 1 phpbb and have my settings allowed for me to add anything and still no luck, back to youtube for me. The videos do look much better with smugmug though

It looks like proboards doesn't allow any way to get HTML code into postings. Now I'm looking at another site where I'm a member which is IPB, and it looks like it's the same.

I know that this should perhaps be in feature requests, but is there at least a way to link with an img tag where the first frame will show up? Some other photos sites (photobucket, for example) has this, and it seems to work on all forums. Poor quality and you still need to click to another page to see the video, but it is a bit better.
