I went out this morning to photograph night herons. I will have to save those for later (never saw one :D ). I looked for interesting birds to photograph most of the morning. I might have got some nice ones, but I will post them in another thread. I ran into my friend and fellow Dgrinner William Snyder while out shooting (it's strange how often we see each other while out shooting on our own, similar tastes I guess) I was done for the day, but he said he was going to go one more place before he packed it in. I decided to go with him.

This is a shot I took in this last location. I better post mine before he does :D .

So who wants to see some more of the 300 shots I took of him, his brother, and his Mom?

PS, this is in the wild.

OK...

The two young foxes seemed to accept our presence fairly well, we were both shooting from 750mm or farther (He had a TC on) They hung out for quite a while, posing for us and wrestlling each other.

Then Momma showed up...

http://dehmphoto.smugmug.com/photos/23280823-M.jpg

She was not happy with us, or her offspring. Seeing the parent upset made the pups nervous so they all headed for home.

I nearly filled a 1 gig card and ran my battery dead with these guys before they split.

So you went out after night herons and all you got were some lousy fox shots.
That should teach you a lesson. :D

Fox's have such cute faces don't they, I know they are not liked by farmers and such, but all the creatures of the earth have their place in the food chain......

....sometimes you gotta wonder just how smart Scientists really are when they introduce species to wipe out another species, then in doing so cause massive destruction worse than the creature they first decided to get rid of was doing......example the Cain Toad here in Australia, that Toad has now made it into Kakadu National Park, and is killing every animal that eats it.

Your Fox's are beautiful, Williams are just gorgeous too, nicely captured guys, I love the smooth warm colors, and yup da faces, da faces are just too cute.

Great shots guys, there are a lot of foxes here who have adapted to urban life. Late at night you can see them around the city.
