Banners not Visible

I created a second banner
I applied it to a category and the galleries within that category
I grouped that category and galleries in a sharegroup
All worked well
Banners were displayed correctly

I created another category with galleries inside
I want these new galleries to have the same 2nd banner as the above
I applied the code as before - but this time the banner does not show in the galleries
I also grouped these galleries in a sharegroup

Gone over and over the custom views of each gallery and the site wide customization area
I am stumped

Please do not post the same question in two different forums. All that does is make extra work for the volunteers who answer questions here.
