My favorite bird--and my first time ever getting to shoot some! These were all taken on or near my brother's porch. All were shot at 300mm, ISO 400, at varying speeds and apertures. There are more in my gallery, but I wanted to post a couple for some C&C. Thanks!

Very nice set Lauren :thumb:thumb I especially like the bg & detail in #1
#2 would be a definite winner with a little opening up of the shadow area around his right eye.

Very nice Lauren. :thumb I would try to bring out the eyes a tad more.

Thanks, all. I played with this one a bit to try and lighten up the left eye. Is this any better? What about the background--better in the #1 or #2? Thanks!

On your re-posts I would do a comp blending the left shadow side of the chickadee in the first photo with the second photo so that you can see the eye detail, and not blow out the highlights on the right of the chickadee.
