I took this a week, or so ago, while photographing the proliferation of babies. I planned on working it up as I like the colors of the algae with the blue and the bird, et al. I worked it up just now. Had to run it through Neat Ninja. Am exhausted. YOu all are probably all sound asleep, especially if you live on the east coast of the USA, as I do. ginger

Ya got one too! I've only seen only one this year and one last. Must be very rare here
in the midwest.

It looks like you applied NN on the whole image. Try appling it on a duplicate layer then
mask/erase the bird so the one on the lower layer will shows. Make sure the erased
edges are feathered. The dup layer will then give you the nice smooth noiseless background.
Work the bird on the lower layer separately using much lighter NN and some sharpening
and don't apply any contrast, level, etc. adjustments untill the layers are merged.

I like the composition of your crop.

That's right, keep piling it on. Another stinking night heron shot. http://dgrin.com/images/smilies/xxbah.gif Is there anybody in this forum who doesn't have a night heron shot?
