XO-Studios

Having recently expanded my gear with some studio strobes, I have been looking more and more for a couple of online resources covering the following two subjects.
1: lighting/posing/light positioning charts. Information beyond basic positioning, maybe some lighting charts/plans and some true tips.
(Example tip I found and thought was useful: move light/softbox so close that the shadow of the nose, hits the corner of the eye)
2: modeling/posing guide. Some basic (lets say 20 or so) classic poses with some text.
I know all of this is available in bookform (went to Barnes and Nobles tonight actually) but much of it is either expensive, or bad value for money, so I held off spending my dough to see if there are online resources to get me started and save the money for the advanced books. So far a pretty brief GOOGLE didn't get me the results I was hoping for.
