If he doesn't move, no one can see that he is alive.........an emergency tactic that I have noticed.

(I really did like my baby osprey shots, the babies appear to be hairless)

Thank you, Greaper! I have been saving it for the right moment........and there really is no way to tell, so I brought him out. He was just in the last couple of weeks, don't mean I have been saving and saving him. I was quite excited to see him like that.
I hated to cover up your name, trying to get some action on my posts, worked hard all day, for days it seems like. But I had to thank you for looking, then responding and for your particular response.
I like him, and I am quite proud, though I did not do anything except stay very quiet. He was an easy shoot and an easy workup. I am more fond, myself, of my landscape/bird shots. This night heron, I feel like I should stick him in a bird ID book.
Though he would look quite nice framed, especially in a pair, I guess. I just don't do that.
But comments like yours, and even the ones that bother me, they let me know what I should be thinking of trying to sell.............some day.

I like this shot too, Ginger. I like the warm, low lighting angle and the way his feet are covered in green muck

Nice Ginger:thumb I have only come across one night heron so far in my neck of the woods, and he didn't stay long enough for me to snap a pick! Well done on yours!
