Hi, i finally got around to entering gallery keywords. I entered for a few galleries (about ten keywords each), and then when I went to check back, only the keywords that fit within that small box were saved (around three or four). I checked the smugmug help page on gallery keywords here (http://www.smugmug.com/help/picture-storage), but it didnt mention a limit on the number of keywords allowed. Please help clarify.
Thanks

Hi,

Can you please tell me what gallery you put the keywords in? I can check them when you do so.

Shay.

Shay.

Here is one example:
Last night when I made this post, I entered in about 10 keywords for this gallery. When I checked this morning, the keyword box was empty. I re-entered them, saved, clicked customize to check, and the box contained one keyword.

What keywords did you enter exactly? Please make sure that you enter the gallery keywords comma separated and that you don't include any non-English characters.

As in the example above, I entered:

utah, landscape, "salt lake city", heber, "heber valley", "park city", winter, snow, mountain, mountains

I saved, and I looked back to check: the box was blank.

I then re-entered all the keywords above, saved, and checked back again. This time the box had:

utah,

Hope that helps.

Would like to get this sorted out as I don't want to go through the process of keywording all my galleries just to have them vanish. any support heroes reading that can offer advice?

thanks so much for your help.

Enter one keyword at a time and hit preview after each. Save when you're done. If you enter all the keywords at once, the whole thing will wrapped in quotes and mess your keywords.

EDIT: Don't forget to refresh your gallery page.

I'm going to Customize gallery--->gallery keywords. I don't see a preview button. Am I doing this wrong?

My bad. I should read posts more carefully. I was thinking about the image keywords.

Remove the quotation marks and it should be fine.

Do not use any quotes. Just separate the keywords by comma. That's all that is needed.

I just checked your keywords in one of my gallery and they saved fine if used without quotes like this:
utah, landscape, salt lake city, heber, heber valley, park city, winter, snow, mountain, mountains

Hi,
Thanks for your help. It worked when I entered >1 word keywords without quotes... I didn't know it was to be entered differently than individual photo keywords.
Thanks again
Chris
