Nikon's brand is close to $200. "Zigview" makes one for half that. (never heard of them) Any suggestions on a good combo of price/quality wireless remote for a D300? :dunno

any reason you you can't use the Nikon ML L3? cost is $13. It is IR so line of sight is needed.

I may be that Idlewild needs a lot more functionality, but that little IR ML-3 gizmo is the best, best, best money I ever spent!

ahh..I suppse the more expensive remotes can control shutter speeds, sapertutres, iso etc

edit: I just looked up the $200 version..hmm..it can do high speed multiple sjots, delayed shots, and has hot shoe mount to syou get full 360 line of site. Takes AA batteries and it looks more robust. Not worth it imo unless you are using it on your camera a lot.

For what camera? The ML-3 doesn't work on the D300. I got a Phottix a while back for less than 20 bucks. It's works like a charm. Just do a search on eBay. I think they ship from Hong Kong. No worries; they work as advertized.

Well, colored me confused. See link below... :scratch

I need most available "feet away from camera" and non-direct line of sight capabilities. The zigview "says" up to 300ft.

ML-3 ($189.95)
Zigview ($89.95)

Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry. I left out an "L." Someone asked about the ML-L3 (http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Remote-Cords/4730/ML-L3-Wireless-Remote-Control-%28Infrared%29.html). That's not compatable. The more expensive ML-3 is indeed.

I ran into this issue myself a short while ago. My own searches turned up decent reviews for the Phottix Cleon N8 trigger you can get on eBay for about $30. Mine's been working out grand thus far.

Thanks guys and gals....going to give the Phottix Cleon N8 a try. For $30, I figured it would be worth @ least a trial run.
