Hi, on my site, erichoffmanphotos.com I currently have only two gallery categories: "Conventions Trade Shows", and "Travel".
I am trying to rename "Travel" to "Landscape-Scenic" and can't seem to be able to.
On my opening page, while logged in, I went to tools > control panel > customize > catergories. When I get there I see at the bottom Rename a category. In the drop down menu there is "Conventions Trade Shows" and "scenic", no "Travel" category shows up even though on my site it does show while "scenic" does not.
How can I rename "Travel" when it doesn't appear in this rename a category dropdown menu ?

You can only rename categories that you added. Travel is a standard SmugMug category name, and it can't be renamed.
You can create a new category, then update your galleries that are currently in the Travel category to use your new category.

I tried that, creating a new category "Landscape-Scenic" but this new one doesn't show up on my site.
I figured I would move the "Valley of Fire" and "Lake Tahoe" galleries from the "Travel" category to the new category "Landscape-Scenic" and then delete the "Travel" category, but as I said, the new "Landscape-Scenic" category doesn't show up.
Now what?

When you say it doesn't show up, do you mean that it doesn't show on your galleries page or that it isn't a selection to assign a gallery to that category?
A category won't show up on your galleries (or home) page until it has galleries assigned to it.

Never mind, I accomplished what I was trying to do.
Thanks for your help.
