View Full Version : Won a Canon 5D Mk II at WPPI!! WooHoo!!

So, my wife and I were at the WPPI show in Vegas with the SmugMug peeps this week. I was busy showing off my custom SmugMug sites (http://www.wolfsnap.com/samples), and my wife was busy doing the Epic Hunt (http://www.epichunt.com) scavenger hunt.

Anyways... We got all the regular questions, then we went to do the bonus questions. Most were easy, but, two were harder..

The first was slightly harder: make a video (http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/7390585_nb2QL/1/#476034458_pa9Gd-A-LB) about how social media helps you in your business..

The last bonus question was to get your twitter name on the MGM Grand Marquee. We needed to take a photo (http://www.smugmug.com/photos/476043975_TyREY-M.jpg) of my wife's name on the Marquee (keep in mind, it was late, and I was tired :) )

Anyways, after all the scavenger hunt points were tallied........ WE WON!!!!!!! :barb:barb:barb:barb:barb

Seriously.. We won a BRAND NEW Canon 5D Mk II!!! I'm so stoked, I could scream! Anyways, thanks for letting me share :ivar

Thanks so much everyone! We're so excited!! It's a huge step up for us :) We already have a 24-70 2.8L and 50mm 1.4, so the glass is all good; but, going from a Rebel XT to a 5D2 is just amazing!! :D

I was wondering who shimamizu was :D Know I know!

I found out that I should have the camera in-hand in about a week or two. I'm so excited! I don't think we've ever won anything that cool (or expensive :huh ) before! So, it's just really amazing..

I already know what we're doing with it's video feature -- stay tuned for more details :D
