Wondering what you guys think, Im considering picking up a d70 with some basic glass off ebay. It looks to be in great condition from an actual business that has been around for some time. The thing that concerns me is that it comes with a spanish only manual. I can get the english version elseware thats not the issue, my question is should this raise a red flag? It comes with origional box etc. What do you guys think?
Also it has just over 10k actuations, to much? ok?
Any advice would be great.

All depends on your budget? I can tell you that the D70 is a 6MP body that is quite dated and was originally released in 2004. You can read more here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Nikon/nikon_d70.asp
But, think about how much you'd like to spend and you may want to watch the Nikon forum in the Flea Market: http://www.dgrin.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37
I guess to only other thing is to go for it. But I wouldn't spend more than $250-300, depending on the lens included... and you didn't give any specs on this aspect.
Let us know if this raises any other questions for you...

Well im looking for something to help me get into photography. Originally I was going with a d40 but then I decided that it would limit me too much so at least the d70 will allow me to use all glass rather then a select few.
It comes with nikkor 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 G ED.

OK. The lens is prob worth ~$200 on the used market, so I'd say it may go as high $300-400. But look for previous sales on eBay that mimic this sale.
I would suggest you may want to look for a good used D200 ($500-600, no lens) if you can afford that. Gives so much more room for advancement over the D70. BTW, I still have both.

I believe there is a thread floating around here somewhere that states you can get a brand new D200 body on sale from Best Buy for $599 right now. :dunno Kinda makes me wish I waited (I picked up a D60 about a month ago).

It should be noted that because of the electronic shutter, this camera is one of few DSLRs that can sync with manual flash at very high shutter speeds.

This is true. The D70 can sync up to 1/500.
