Excellent idea and very nice execution. Love the palette and the light. One thing, the bottom right corner is a dead zone, nothing going on. If you could reshoot to balance the composition and give the whole frame meaning, it would be even better. Nice work and good thinking. :thumb

This photo conveys more information than any other I've seen in this challenge. It tells me you are a middle aged, imaginative man that drinks his coffee black and lives in or around L.A. Also, from the headline, I am able to paint a mental picture of a foggy coastline.

Thanks to all for the comments.

I took several versions of this with slightly different compositions. In the end I couldn't decide between four of them. My son ended up coming in and very easily (and rather offhandedly) picked his favorite. It was enough for me to go with it. His smile made it a winner for me. :):

Really great shot! I was going to try something similiar with some editing for the challenge but couldnt really get anything going.
