I am considering picking up a D80 as a backup body.

This looks like a good deal:

Anyone know anything about Sonic Camera?? If no, could you point me to a source that you trust to review such outfits?

Body is new with 1 YR USA warranty.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Based on the reviews at reseller ratings (http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Sonic_Cameras) I would reconsider doing business there.

Thanks! I also found this thread:

Sadly, I guess I'll pass. I do love the price on the D80, though.

I don't know anything about Sonic, but I recently bought a D-80 refurb from Cameta Camera (through Amazon) for under $500, and was very impressed with both the camera and the service (fast shipping, etc). The Nikon refurbs are like brand new!

Lisa, welcome to the Digital Grin. :clap

Hopefully you will review our 2 purchase information threads regarding where to purchse cameras and equipment.

Sonic is not going to make it to anyone's "recommended" list.
