Well, I spent a very rainy Friday (last) wondering around downtown DC and the monuments on the mall and Arlington cematary. Didn't get too many shots as the rain was so heavy at times it was hard keeping the camera dry. Trying to shoot and hold an unbrella is tough! But here goes
Wilard Hotel (one of the oldest in DC, my great-grandfater wrote about staying here during the civil war)

A close-up of one of the women in the Womans Viet Nam memorial with teh rain pouring down

and two of The Wall

and crop of the above in B&W trying for the rule of thirds (though I'm not sure this works better than the above with it centered)

I like the last one in B&W. The rain really adds to the somber feeling of the wall. The perspective down the path is also visually engaging.

The photo needs a little more pop to the B&W conversion. You may want to try playing with it some more.

I like the first B&W one better. It has more of a feeling of rain.

Nice shot. I like the first black & white better. Do you have other ones? The umbrella on the top...it seems like you need more of it or none of it at all.

I prefer the first. Would you mind if I played around with this pic a little?
