Hi Karel - I just merged your two threads. No need to cross post in multiple forums. I've left them here in Video, but can move if you prefer.
thanks,

Cheers! That's rather fun.
I'm looking for sites to 1) see for myself what's possible, and 2) to post links on my Embedding Site (see signature) as examples of what's available on SmugMug to others. Hope that's ok.

Baldy, that video is terrific! The images are crisp and clear. For me, that's the perfect use of a DSLR's video ability. Instead of capturing a single moment in time, you capture a second or two. When several short moments are put together, their ability to tell a story is wonderful.
Great job.:clap

Oooh Baldy I like that a lot!
How much longer can I resist the lure of the 5d MK II?
Sigh.

Oh wow! That video shot right out of the box???? I keep trying to tell myself I can't justify that camera. I've never been interested in video (vs still photos) but then, when I took up photography I didn't think I'd ever fall in love with the dark room either! Awesome shots, love the short bursts. :clap

Very very nice. Do you get any probs with artifacts, like shearing when you pan? Though I didn't see any.
There's a blog here http://newbreed.workbookproject.com/category/eloquent-graffiti/ by someone who's been shooting on a D90. Is your camera streets ahead then...?
Meanwhile... What I was looking for in this thread were any links to imaginatively laid out SmugMug sites to see what's possible.... ?

Hey, so nobody has a cool, creative 'imaginatively laid out' video site?
What about more videos?
I'm looking as well so see what's possible...

Hi Josh,
I like it. Seems to tell your story well. It's kinda plain, but maybe that's another way of characterizing 'a clean professional look'. The videos I watched played smoothly, unlike others I've tried hosted on SM.
How long did you take to build it? Use any special tools or just what's built into SM Pro?

I've got a few posted here that I've taken with the Canon 5D Mark II.
Nothing great, but a few of them are in Full HD.

Here's a page from my Smugmug site with a video embedded at the top of the gallery:

Here is another example:

The full resolution videos are also contained within one of the galleries as well. I find that it's a good way to give the visitor a preview of the entire library of images under a certain category.
This is a tutorial on how to create and embed them into your Smugmug site:

Hope that helps:)

thanks BlackCoffee-
I've made some changes in the past few weeks. curious to see what you think now.
It took a few days to build but thats becuase I'm not a seasoned HTML or CSS developer. I heavily rely on the dgrin for answers and the smugmug help team. Didn't use any special tools, just the CSS, Java and HTMl customization boxes built into SMugPro.
Best,
Josh
