I wasn't sure where this should go, so I figured I would post it here.

I was sent to New York to photograph the Westminster dog show this year, which was a lot of fun. I followed ~10 dogs from our coverage area (I work for a paper in CT). My online editor asked for "literally 100 images would not be too many" for a slideshow. I sent him ~50, expecting he would cut down some of the fluff, but he did not.

Anyway, here are a bunch of the photos I took, in slideshow format, critiques are always welcome.

My only complaint is that you did not get any Cairn Terriers in your photos. (I own one who is from a championship line and her sire won an award of merit a couple years ago). One of my dreams is to go and experience Westminster and to photograph it would be a real bonus. I've been to many dog shows, but that is a pinnacle.

Thank you for sharing!

Sorry! Unfortunately, for the most part I was restricted to "our" dogs, with a few exceptions.

What are "our dogs" - Local dogs?

Yeah, as I mentioned in the first post, I followed about 10 dogs and also two judges who come from our coverage area. Stump, the Best in Show winner, is owned by a woman from one of our towns, so he was one of our dogs, which was great.

It's a SoundSlides gallery, so you will need flash, but I can't think of any other reason why it won't show up.

If they don't show, however, you should be able to look at them here as well:
