I want to join a community, but the list is overwhelming everytime I try to decide. I am a year into this new journey of honing my skills and begining to make a little money, but I am a newbie in so many ways and I am about to be a Grandma. I only discovered my passion a year ago, all this time, who knew??? And I am pretty decent at it, but so very green!!!
anyone have a suggestion??

Hi Trudy, welcome!

Relax, you've already joined a community - it's called Dgrin! That overwhelming list is long, yes, but pretty self-explanatory. If you want to share your photos, do it in Shots, whether its People, Sports, or Wildlife. If you want to ask a technique question, well, do it in Technique.

everyone is happy to help, everywhere. kick back, shoot, talk, read, whatever you like.

Hi...I'm sort of having the same problem. My site has been up and running for a little while, but I am doing some new stuff that I would like to share and get some feedback on. I thought I would join a community, but when I get on there, there is no discussion area...so how do you communicate with each other?

Do you then have to set up a forum? or can that be done on the community site? Maybe they didn't set it up that way? The help didn't really seem to answer my questions and I feel bad always emailing the help guys...I know it's their job, but I feel pesky and I'm sure they have better things to do! :)

Any assistance or redirection would be greatly appreciated!

Any assistance or redirection would be greatly appreciated!By "site" do you mean a SmugMug site? If you need help with that, we have several discussion forums, go there and post a thread with a question.

SmugMug Support (http://www.dgrin.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12)
SmugMug Customization (http://www.dgrin.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31)

You can ask questions about SmugMug communities in that support forum as well. Unless I'm misunderstanding your question.
