I have a Dell 30 inch monitor (3007 WFP-HC (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=222-7175)) that just got dropped off on Monday by Dell and is still sealed in the box.

$825

I need to make some room and generate some cash. My loss is your gain. Local pick up only in Foster City, CA...

If I were you, I'd just return it and get a refund..

Other then cash why arn't you keeping it? I'm planning on buying a 3008WFP referb as soon as I find a outlet discount code..

I can't speak for the seller but this monitor is wonderful. Had it for a year and love it.

Here's the long version....

I've had a 3007WFP-HC for almost 6 months and last weekend the touch sensitive buttons on the front stopped working intermittently. I immediately called Dell (that's what warranties are for!) and they said that they would ship one out right away. :clap

I've also been on the lookout for a 30" Apple Cinema display and stumbled upon one the next day for a good deal. I decided to buy myself a b-day present and picked that one up.:D I want to sell the replacement unit that Dell sent me to offset the cost of my upgrade.

I've thought about running double-headed, but I just don't have the space to run two 30's side by side.

jdfaith: You are correct. It *is* great monitor, but I've seen it running side by side with the Apple Cinema (double-headed) on a friends system and the Apple looks really good.

Edit: The box is marked "refurb" on the outside. I checked the Dell Outlet site and the refurbs are not available right now due to short supply/high demand. I checked prices for used ones on Craigslist and I think that my price is fair for a refurb unit still in the box, but there is a little wiggle room... ;)

Gotcha.. Apple monitors are nice, but a little to expensive for my blood.

Happy Belated Birthday.. :bday

Do you know if the warranty is transferable? I was planning on going with a 3008WFP mainly because of the extra inputs [so Its not restricted to just my PC], but now that I'm starting to think about it I'd be better off buying the less expensive 3007WFP-HC stricktly for my PC and then also buying a larger [42-46] HDTV for everything else.

Hmmm.. let give this some more thought. :scratch

Rafa,

Let me check on the warranty for you. I was thinking about the same thing yesterday...

EDIT: Thanks for the B-Day wish!

Rafa,

It doesn't look like it's a problem to transfer warranty and, in fact, Dell provides a form for it online!
