Well, I haven't had a lot of time to shoot lately, but I did have a chance to try out my new EFS10-22 lens over the weekend. Took the kids for ice cream at the Westlake Promenade (Nik), and got these shots.

What I learned is that it's a great lens, but it'll take some getting used to for me, shooting quite that wide.

For this one, I had to sneak up, since Paige doesn't let me take her picture. I had it down at my waist, and shot as I walked by:

God I love that lens. Sure wish it would fit on my body. Instead I must settle for a Sigma 12-24.

Love it.

It *IS* wide!:thumb
You'll be having a blast with it in Zion, and in Bryce too.:clap

Did you try new lens correction feature of CS2 with it?

I like these shots a lot, the lense has a cool effect!! The statue scares me though, it's kinda freaky...

Yeah, he is. You can't see it, but he's looking up at a statue of an equally ecstatic mother with her boy at the top of a fountain. They're flying a kite. They're all having way too much fun.

Thanks for the comment, I know I can do lots better with this lens, just got to get out and shoot, and get some exposures under my belt.

Thanks, Nik. Just installed CS2 today. Looked at the lens correction, but did nothing. I have a plug-in that worked with CS for doing the same thing, it had a library of cameras/lenses and would automatically correct depending on the focal length of the shot. Unfortunately, the 10-22 wasn't in the catalog of lenses to choose from. Too new, I guess. I am going to play with correcting the distortion, sometime, though.

She's a bit more freaky, so if you're pregnant or under 18 I would not click on this link:wink
