I was up early this morning to look for the white pelicans. Alas, no pelicans.
A quick drive through Shoreline Park in Mountain View found this.

Apologies for the lighting. Aside from being late, I was shooting more into the
sun than I would have liked. Not to mention I was taking up half the roadway
while I shot a few.

The hawk, perched on a light standard, endured the wrath of this little guy
for some time. Posturing but remaining steady on the light. I wonder if the little
guy had any idea how near to lunch time it was?

great shot :thumb I think the mocking birds, blues, sparrows ect are fast enough to pester the large ones away with out the big worry of being dinner , if not the crows and hawks would take over I have been there for 2 with crows but to far away :cry the mocking bird shot is worth the price of admission on it's own :clap :thumb

Thanks for looking Harry.

Ed, I'm not sure. I think it's a redtail but I don't want to put money on it :lol
