I think its a great shot !

If you were to do it again i would possibly have more sky & less black foreground ..but a really nice photo non the less. The people on the jetty help it a lot also i recon.

I like it as well. I agree with a little less foreground and more sky. Maybe a little more space to the right of the tower?? Your composition works though as is IMO. I thinks its just a matter of personal preference.

I like the potential. I agree with the less foreground putting the subject more in the bottom third. I'd also leave just a tad more space on the right side. The last thing is give it less exposure making the foreground a total black sillouette and thus making the sky not so washed out (more saturation in the sky color).

Last one is just about right :thumb
a little nit pick, please. To me it seems to lean down just a bit but enought to throw it off, but of course JMHO.

Outside that really love this type of light, color at your exp shows it nicely :thumb

Thanks for the comment.

I thought so at first, but if i try a guide line on the life guard tower, it's straight...

so i'm kind of confused myself...

more thoughts please :)

I like the vantage point of the first one better. To get the lifeguard shack more in the picture just back up from where you were.

Seal Beach is really nice.

Thank you Erich, I like what you have to say.

I have a few more from that same day, i'm still fishing through.

please don't stop with the comments and feedback. I can take whatever you have to throw at me...

oh... and one of those "Cherry Ripes" that i hear about wouldn't be bad either.

Thanks,

Steven

I just had to look in. My in-laws used to live in Seal Beach. I love the shots. I like that one that seems a bit tilted. The distance from the bottom to the pier is greater on the right side than the left. I would try a slight rotation. The side of the lifeguard tower is a bit slanted too so that would straighten it. Anyway, I like them all.
