If I've made changes to a watermark's fade setting, do I have to re-apply them to the photos that I've already watermarked? If I so, do I have to first remove the existing watermark before applying it again for the new fade setting to take effect? Thanks.

BTW, how long does it take for a watermark to apply to a single image? I tried to add a watermark to a test image and it has been 15 minutes already without it changing. Yes, I cleared the cache. Even tried it on another computer. Still doesn't show up.

You will have to reapply the watermark so all the display photos are
regenerated with the new watermark. Select all and add the new one, no
need to remove the old one first. It can take quite a while depending how
many are in the que.

It is very odd. Some of the more recent re-apply watermark jobs are finished while those done earlier are still not done. Guess I just need more patience?

:scratch it is now 3 hours and the 2 test images are still not watermarked ... it cannot take that long, can it?

This is probably a long shot, but how large are the images?

Gotcha on the watermark help page at http://www.smugmug.com/help/custom-watermark-protection says "We do not watermark photos whose longest side is equal to or less than 800 pixels because a display copy and the original are the same image.".
