Decided to do this peak and it was getting pretty late because my freind had bailed on me for the most part. He actually just had the times wrong so it wasnt all that bad. So i grabbed my tent and headed to the Dome. When i got to the trailhead it was 6pm. This was basically my first trip this year with a nice heavy pack and so it was slow going at first. After a while i was cruising nicely and took only about 2 hours before i was finished setting up my tent at the base of the dome. Looking at the peak i figured i could get it done before the sun went down and so i threw on my backpack and headed up. It was slow going at first because the area was rather wet and at the bushes and alders left me a nice maze to go through but once i got the ridge of snow hawk it was quick going and i was at the top by 9:30. The sun was getting close so i did a jog back to camp and arrived back at 10:15. Watched the sun set had a meal and went to bed to wake up to the same beautiful sunshine and have a good walk back. Nice and easy trip without anything crazy happening. Sometimes its awesome!

I like the shot from on top as well. Watching the sunset is also a nice
shot--how's about trying this? Hang a headlamp/small flashlight in the
tent and shoot it against the sunset.

I see a great season of fine photos coming our way :thumb
