This is a shot that I did not think much of when I took it but when I seen it on the screen something work for me. I wanted to see if others would think. Whip it good

I think this could be something good, there are a couple things you should look out for though.

The first thing is with the composition, you have a lot of elements being cut off right at the edge of the frame. This is seen in the tails to the right and the feet on the bottom right corner.

Even though there is a rock background, the top is basically negative space and I'm not sure how I feel about it as a composition. The thing that jumps out to me is its very muddy. You definitely have absolute black and absolute white in this image and on the road it seems good, but parts of the birds, and that back wall show a middle gray with not much range which is something I would try and expand.

My only question is about your subjects and not your photo: why?

Don't ask. They WILL come to your home and, well, it's too horrible to contemplate. :huh

I like the shot. But the contrast is too stark or a variant of what N&V said, the tails have no detail. Could be where the mid-point is set for the B&W conversion or possibly too contrasty? You've got beautiful chook rumps staring at you and there's nothing to see.

Subjects Why? This small village near where I live has chickens running all over town, it has become an attraction and a brand for them. They even have a chicken festival. I guess I should explained the context of the shot better. I was shooting chickens that day for use at a later date for some businesses there.
This shot just caught my eye as being a bit different than the standard chicken portrait shot. Here is the original to explain the crop more. I will work on the BG rocks

I rework it a bit to tone down the contrast and bring out some detail

Personally, looking at a bunch of rooster tails isn't very appealing. I like the color of the color shot, but the perspective doesn't work for me.
