Took a day off from work last week and headed to a nearby canyon. I start early and work near the canyon, so I was able to do a little shooting as the sun was coming up. In this case, it was just peering over a ridge that was behind me and reflecting off the rocky slope across the road, which was about twenty feet above me.

Cool. So what's the deal here. Is this the orange morning sun reflecting off the surface of the water?

With a little enhancement from the rocks across the road and some Photoshop work, yes.

Thank you, everyone, for your very kind words.

It seems I'm coming out of a slump I've been in for a few months. :ivar
