On Monday we went for a 10 mile hike at Russian Gulch State Park along the Mendocino (Northern Cali) coast. About half way through the hike is a beautiful 35 foot waterfall. This is a truly beautiful place. The waterfall is hidden among TALL old red wood trees. There are many trails, bridges, bike trails, and picnic areas along the way. I highly recommend it if you find yourself in Mendocino with an extra day to spend with nature!!

Thanks for looking. As always comments and suggestion appreciated.

Very nice shots.

I'd second the recommendation on Russian Gulch. Located on the scenic
California Coast, the towns of Fort Bragg and Mendicino are near buy. If
you like lighthouses, Cabrillo is also a short hop away from Russian Gulch.

Did you make it out to Devil's punch bowl on the headlands at Russian Gulch? By the time we got done with the hike we had no time left to go see that. Next time for sure though!!

It's about four hours on way from Redding, not alot of miles just winding roads. Definitely worth the trip!!

Beautiful waterfall shots. Like the first one the best. Thanks for sharing these. I'm taking a trip up the coast to Washington this summer and I'm going to have to check out this place.

Cheers,
