Disable Catagory

How can I temporarily disable or make private a Category? I can do this to all the Galleries within the Category but I rather not do it this way.

You would have to do this for all galleries. There's no way to make a category unlisted.

You could have a look at SmugBrowser, which allows you to change an individual setting for multiple galleries in bulk. You can find it here (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=47484).
