This is another shot of Compton Hill Water Reservoir in south St. Louis. Captured with an IR-converted Nikon D70s. What do you think?
Which one is better? This distorted view or this second "mountainous" perspective?

Both cools shots. I keep trying to figure out what the details are on the far edges of the first one. So, my vote goes to #2.

I agree, both shots are very cool but I really like the 2nd one.

Both cool. I don't care for the tangents of the railings with the top of the structure in the second. On the first you might try cropping the top so that you accentuate the symmetry of the shot. As much blue above as brown below.

They both offer great perspective of the scene. In the first one it would be better (IMO) if your camera was much lower to the ground thus accentuating the height more. That's why I think photo #2 is more dramatically appealing.
