I probably should have posted this in another thread. I just realized.. (Umm... read the rules to the section) That it should represent my best work, and well it does not. I apologize for not being familiar with the rules before posting. Warning Noob in the area.

Well, the mod didn't move it, so I'll comment. Had to think about it.
It seems a gray day in which this is taken, so the color looks rather bland accross the image except for the kayak(er) itself. My eyes are drawn always to the kayaker, so no matter how hard I try, the bottom of the image I just don't look at. Perhaps crop it all out, top and bottom.
For a reshoot I'd perhaps slow the shutter to let the kayaker be blurred, but I'd be looking to drastically raise or lower my angle. I used to work for a guy who photographed kayakers and rafters on they little trips, and I can say that this tranquil turn would not have been where we'd have set up. Shooting this curve would be for the purpose of showing the tranquility and peace afforded on the way. Your shot does achieve that to an extent.

First, I like the light on the kayak and its position in the frame. There is some dynamic involved.
I would crop the bottom of the image at the negative space does not had anything. Also, I would add contrast in the water, especially where the light is strongest as it distract the viewer a little. Finally, I would remove the blue cast and add a slight vignette.
Slow shutter speed and panning the boat as it goes down would have been a more creative exposure.
Hope this help

Thanks for the feed back. I have made some adjustments.. crop, removed blue, increased contrast on surrounding area and added a slight motion blur to the area. Better?
