Awesome, should be a great project.
Cant wait to move there myself, pulling up roots in norcal for the Big Island this May!
Im very interested in the underwater housings he might use for the 5d II.
Ikelite has one for around $1600, but there are some guys in San Diego making
a more universal type housing with a pistol grip & just a few key functions.
More sports shooting oriented then the 2 handed ikelite.
The RC helicopter shots should be pretty sweet as well.

Next I’ll put up a behind the scenes piece/tutorial on how important Neutral Density Filters are with these digital cinema cameras and how they’re absolutely essential if you want to differentiate what you are shooting with your Canon lenses from what you see coming out of standard HD video cameras when shooting in daylight.

+1
Would love to have ocean front.
Saw both sides of a ocean front duplex for sale on the north shore last year for $650k.
Wish I had the cash for that move...

i see these videos and think,,, wow amazing work, i think i will give up before i even start trying ....
then i watch the behind the scenes and hear words like "we're practicing"
its nice to hear commentary from the photographer, i get a sense of the talent, hard work, and imagination applied... and i then think,
no, i will not give up...these guys give me inspiration

Last time I tried to ride switchfoot, I looked like an electrocuted jellyfish! I can't wait for some more clips. Models and scenery are great, but some proper wave action - now we're talkin!!

Bump again for ZOMG goodness!
Having been dabbling a bit with the 5D and video editing, I have renewed, extreme and profound respect for the quality of the work that's coming out here.
It does look like the Fish Eye entry got pulled, but the video is still up on the VLF SmugMug site (http://vincentlaforet.smugmug.com/gallery/6961015_exAjb/1/450568576_iAAka/Large).
