I also wish that I had some hardcore "I was stalking this bird across 30 miles of the roughest terrain in the country" story to go with it, too. I've seen this guy a couple of times over the last week in trees outside of my apartment complex but never when I had the time or camera. Yesterday I just happened to be letting my brother in when I spotted him in a tree grubbing on a mouse. I snapped a little more than 100 frames on continuous drive. This was the second shot that I got, and the best as well.

Thanks for looking, and thanks a whole ton for the info! All credit for the shot goes to the bird for sitting in a tree right out my front door so that my lazy ass could shoot him and sitting low enough that my 300 got me close.
