Make images "unclickable"?

Is there any way to make images in a gallery styled as "Journal"? I have employed this type in some of my galleries as a sort of travel "blog", but I would prefer if users could not click on the images to see them in a new page. Anyone know of a way to do this? My site is www.mariosforsos.com (and the galleries in question are in the Travel Blogs section. Thank you in advance.
