I have just gotten a Canon Rebel XT (EOS 350D) and I am still gettting used to the new settings. I had a Digi Rebel first generation for a year... But I must say that I am more than pleased with the new camera, the new features are constantly making me go "Oh WOW!" :D

Please be kind, I am not as skilled as a lot of you! Thank you! :photo

Another one. These were taken on a walk through the Mont-Royal Park (http://www.lemontroyal.qc.ca/en_index2.html) we have in my city.

Thank you for the welcome, bfjr! I think I'll enjoy it here! :nod

I will have many questions to ask all of you for lenses and stuff like that. I just got my EOS 350d last week and I want to seriously learn all about the controls, settings, etc. and if I can help others I will too. I only know Mac OS X a little, though... :D

Thats third one is my favorite. When you are looking through the veiwfinder get use to looking for those brighter spots. They will be brighter than your subject and blow out in your final image, which can be distracting. The focus and depth of field is nicest in the third one in my opinion.

Thank you for the tips, GREAPER!

I think that the next thing I will do is invest on some decent lens.

I have the lens that came with the Canon Digital Rebel XT (i.e. the Canon 18 - 55 mm, F3.5-5.6 EF-S lens) and the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM.

I have seen pictures taken with the same camera as mine but with better lenses and I think it would be worth it if I got better ones.
