Drop Down Nav for subcategories

Hello,
I am looking to have my sub categories drop down from my main categories in my nav bar.
For instance:
If hovered over portfolio, weddings, Portraiture, Special events should show. Also if clicked on portfolio it should look the same as it does now. Same if clicked on clients. And under when hovered on clients it should drop down and read Weddings, Portraiture, Special Events, Family. I hope this isn't too difficult.

A quirky thing is the subcategory Family I just created this morning; the the thumbs are huge and are only 3 across where as my others look much nicer and are four across. I currently have 4 galleries in family subcategory.

I would appreciate any assistance.

If you have six or more thumbs they will be 100x100 and five or less 150x150.
This is built in and can not be changed.
