StatCounter or Google Analytics

A friend told me about adding StatCounter to Smugmug and I have got the code ready to paste but I can not figure out just where to put it. This coding stuff just boggles my mind. :scratch

Also, in my search of the smugmug forums I see that many people use Google Analytics instead of, or in addition to, Statcounter.

Is one better than the other? What are the pros and cons with each? And probably most important to me, which is the easiest to use?

Both will work, put the code they give you in your footer.
