(maple bush above a lake -- I re-did this with different post processing and like it a lot better, don't have it online tho').

I just posted that one in trying to help Kudbegud figure out how to post photos. First time I posted a photo using the yellow mountain icon :):
I'm still processing from the trip. Wanted to get my flower shots all together first...
The dogwood were at a great stage in their blooming, beautiful creamy white blossoms!

Beats the heck out my poor attempts, LOL! Really nice backlit photo, Dee...exposure is "spot on". Comp is really lovely, too. Sheesh...the more I see of everyone else's Yosemite pics, the more jealous I'm feeling, LOL! I may be too embarrassed to post many of mine (the ones that came out half-way good??? ...the old rusty stuff at the Pioneer Village, LOL!) Go figure, eh? ~Nee :rolleyes

I'm just about to post some Pioneer Village shots.
I think I'm about processed out...
Glad you liked the dogwood -- I took some more, but this came out the best.
Very nice Dee.. I really like that angle

I took a few others, deleted quite a few and that one is really the most dramatic.
I was trying to take some dogwood blossoms between two trees, but at first glance it's not good. I should probably review it again, now that I'm a little more awake and see if I can save it with some cropping.

Very nice angle. Bright sun, delicate flower. Cool.
Bill, nice maple too. Very zen like.

:): Nicely done, Dee. I have not processed any of my dogwoods, but if they come out half as good as that one, I will be happy!

They grow UNDER these huge trees, therefore the light is dim, and with the slightest breeze they're out of focus. I got lucky with that angle, the others I took are, well, I hate to admit it, boring. Now I know not to try to get dogwoods when they are under these tall trees :):

I grew up on the east coast and when the dogwoods bloomed we knew spring had finally arrived, so dogwoods have a fond spot in my heart.
